Sports Classes: California Athletics for Home Schools (CAHS) was created to meet the needs of home schooling families in the areas of competitive athletics and physical education.  CAHS was founded by a home schooling father in San Diego, and offers a variety of classes and competitive sports for all ages, and in most areas of California.  Fundamentals of Sports classes are offered to children ages 5 to 18 to teach the basic individual skills of various sports.  Todd teaches Fundamentals of Sports Classes in 23 sites in southern California throughout the year in San Diego, Orange, Riverside, LA, and Ventura Counties.  Click on SPORTS CLASSES to read about these classes.  There are classes available specifically for all Home Schooled Students regardless of their schooling affiliation.  Parents can pay directly for the class, and Todd is a vendor with all major Charter Schools who will pay for his classes.  In the fall of 2011 Todd will teach Fundamentals of Basketball in 23 sites in southern California AND in 8 sites in northern California.  In the winter (Jan-Mar 2012) Todd will teach a Fundamentals of Soccer class.  In the spring of 2012 Todd will teach a Recreational Games class.  All of these classes will be available in northern California as well.

Northern California Home School Sports:  Todd is also starting the Northern California Home Schools Sports program, providing instruction through 1 week clinics and recreational leagues in many sports to home schooled students in many areas of Northern California.  Click on N Cal Sports on top or the left to read about this.  This summer (July) Todd will teach a 1 week Fencing Clinic in 4 areas of Sacramento and 4 areas around the San Francisco bay.  Todd will also offer a Tackle Football Clinic in the fall (in late September) along with a 1 week baseball clinic.  If you would like to add your site to the list of sites offered by Todd, contact him early to fit it into the schedule.  Todd is a vendor with most of the major Charter Schools in Northern California.

Tackle Football:  Todd is offering a tackle football program this fall for boys age 13-18 that is uniquely designed to work for your home school group, charter school, private school, or PSP.  Meeting for a limited period of time, your group can have a tackle football program for your older boys.  Click on TACKLE FOOTBALL on the left to read about this opportunity to see if it might fit for your group.

Fencing Clinics:  This summer Todd Nash will personally teach fencing clinics in many sites in southern and northern California.  To get the details click on FENCING.  To sign up for one, click on REGISTER.

Water Sports: California Athletics also operates a water sports program offering many opportunities.  We run water sports camps that give participants the opportunity to drive jet skis (with adult supervision for children), kneeboard, tube, waterski, wakeboard, or wake-skate behind the Seadoo 155HP jet ski!!  We also rent jet skis and do jet ski riding/driving outings.  Click on WATER SPORTS to get the details.

Sports Teams & Leagues: California Athletics can organize sports teams and league in California for schools and teams not participating in CIF at the high school level.  We have operated a tackle football league, a volleyball league, basketball teams in many areas, a 6 man soccer league, and track & field teams for high school or middle school age athletes who are not in CIF schools.  It is our goal to consolidate as many teams as possible under one umbrella to give maximum competitive opportunities to students and schools who choose not to or are unable to compete in CIF in high school.  Click on the SPORTS TEAMS/LEAGUES link at the top for information about the league you may be interested in.  Information about the league schedule and results will also be posted on that page.  This spring students can compete on Todd's Track & Field Team in Escondido, with practices available every day, and club meets available almost every weekend.

Track & Field Meet: California Athletics will hold a track & field meet in Escondido on Saturday, May 12 at 2:00 PM.  It is open to all students ages 5-18, and high school students not competing in high school CIF competition.  This meet is open to any athlete.  Home schooled, charter schooled, private schooled, or any other school background is eligible to participate.  Medals are awarded to the top 3 finishers in each event.  Click on the tab to the left titled TRACK MEET to get the information.  Registrations are available NOW!

International Sports Ambassadors (ISA): ISA is offering a baseball tour next summer (July, 2012) to take 18-20 high school age baseball players (age 15-18) to Japan for a 2 week tour after a 2 day training camp in San Diego.  We will play baseball games against Japanese high school teams, US military teams, teach baseball clinics for the youth on the military bases, and tour the country.  It will be the trip of a lifetime for baseball players (and any family members who want to accompany them).  To learn more about the trip, click on ISA at the top or on the side of this page.
