Background of Todd Nash and California Athletics

Todd Nash was a High School All Conference quarterback in football at a large school in Minnesota in the fall, then started at center on the basketball team in the winter, and competed in the jumping events in Track & Field in the spring.  He earned 7 high school varsity athletic letters, and was awarded the KROC Scholarship Award for his high school (graduating class of 1980) for outstanding achievement in sports and academics.  Todd had several scholarship offers in football and track & field.  He then played football and competed in track & field in college, winning the NCAA Division III National Championship meet in the triple jump, and winning the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) in High Jump and Triple Jump.  He was awarded the Most Valuable Athlete on his college track team as a junior, and he won MIAC (Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) most valuable track & field athlete in 1984 as a senior.

Todd finished college with a B.A., mathematics major, computer minor, and started working in sales.  After college, he ran triathlons in 1985 and 1986, and continued to train for and compete in track & field.  He also coached the jumpers at his college during his last year of college and for one year following graduation.  He was commissioned an officer in the Marine Corps in 1989, and continued doing extensive strength and endurance training for 9 years in the Corps, leading and training up to 300 Marines in many areas including physical training.  He flew in the F/A-18D as a Weapons Systems Officer at MCAS El Toro, and later at MCAS Miramar in San Diego.  He completed his service in the Marine Corps in September, 1998, and now owns and operates an Air Show Production and Consulting company as well as running the California Athletics organization.  Todd was recently inducted into the St. Olaf College Athletic Hall of Fame for his accomplishments while an athlete attending St. Olaf College in Minnesota.

Todd currently teaches all of the Southern California class sites for the Fundamentals of Sports classes, and teaches clinics in Northern California.  He is a vendor with many independent study charter schools, who pay for his classes and coaching.  Contact Todd to see if your charter school is one of them.  If not, he can become a vendor if they pay for classes.  If you are a part of a charter school, ISP, PSP, support group, or any other group and would like a class or team set up for your group, contact Todd.
