In the fall of 2007 CAHS will be developing a home school/small school tackle football league for boys who are high school age. This is full contact, tackle football, so it will be taken with the utmost seriousness by the staff, and must be by the athletes and families. Official practices will begin in late August or September of 2007 with 2 practices a week and a game once a week. Non game weeks will probably have 3 practices a week. Practices will likely be 3:00-5:00 on 2 weekdays between Monday and Thursday, with a possible Friday practice on non-game weeks. Games will be primarily on Friday afternoons or evenings, with some possible Saturday games. If you would like to help organize a team in your area, are available to coach or help with a team in any way, call Todd Nash IMMEDIATELY to discuss it with him at 760-727-3604. Teams will be formed in San Marcos, South San Diego/La Mesa, South Orange County, Torrance/South Bay, several in Riverside, Thousand Oaks, and possibly Anaheim. Costs:
This is not a recreational program. This is a highly competitive program for home schooled athletes who wish to play football at a high level. To register for the football team, click on the REGISTER button on the entry page (Home page). If you have further questions, please call or email Todd Nash at (760) 727-3604 or CalAthletics@sbcglobal.net If you are interested in playing football this fall you need to go to the REGISTRATION page and sign up immediately so we can begin to form teams in each geographic area. Do not send a check yet, but complete the online registration if you are serious about playing so we can form teams. We will collect checks after teams are formed.
