Fundraising Opportunities

It’s here!  Many of you have asked for ways to help pay for your sports teams and now California Athletics is offering 2 different fundraising opportunities for you to raise part or all of the money you need to pay for your team fees, uniforms, and other sports costs! 

The timing is very good right now.  Christmas is coming and both of the fundraising items will make good Christmas presents for many of the people you can call on.  All fundraising efforts are applied directly to the fees and expenses for the athlete selling.  This is not a “community effort” where all funds are pooled and shared.  This is an individual effort with individual payback.  If you need the money, all of your effort will reward you. 

The first is a 1 year subscription to ESPN magazine.  Subscriptions are $40 for 1 year, and California Athletics is credited with $30 of that $40!!  That is 52 weekly issues of a great sports magazine for 77 cents per issue!  That is over 80% off of the newsstand price, and they will get 2 years of ESPN Insider as a bonus (an $80 value)!  With just a couple days of work you can pay for all of your costs for the season!  This is ideal for fundraising – no product for you to handle.  ESPN sends the magazines direct to the customer.

For the ladies in your life who may not be interested in a sports magazine, we have Glow Scented Candles.  These soy blend candles come in 20 different scents in a decorative glass jar, and will burn for 70 hours.  The candles sell for $13, and you will be credited with 40% of the sales price.  There are nice color brochures you can use to show the candles, and an order form you will fill out as you sell.  If our entire group exceeds 100 candles sold, we will get 50%.

For both fundraisers, California Athletics will calculate profits and credit 90% of your total profits individually to your sports fees.  California Athletics will keep 10% of profits for operating costs, and for time spent researching, organizing, and administering fundraising.
