Lettering standards will be posted here for earning a VARSITY ATHLETIC LETTER in any sports run by CAHS at the VARSITY level.  Some sports are more recreational in nature, with an "intramural" level of commitment.  Lettering is not available for these sports.  Other sports will be competitive in nature and will offer the opportunity to earn a varsity athletic letter.  Athletes who earn this letter may purchase their letterman's jacket and personalize their jacket.  Standards will be determined for boys and girls cross country, boys and girls basketball, boys and girls track & field, boys baseball, and boys football.  You must compete in the sport at the high school VARSITY level - not in a freshman or JV league - to earn a varsity letter.  Lettering involves a serious commitment to your sport and achievement of a high level of proficiency - a Varsity level.  Letters will not be given away for showing up, or being on the team.  They must be earned.  Details on earning a letter will be given to athletes by their coaches once they are on a team.
