CAHS will offer some competitive sports teams in different seasons of the year.  We are developing opportunities in tackle football, volleyball, basketball, and track & field in many areas around southern California.  If you live in San Diego County, South Orange County, or Temecula, close to North San Diego County, Todd Nash will have teams that he will coach in this area.  In other areas, teams will be developed in some sports with local area coaches.  There will be more information posted on the website as these teams are developed.  Some sports will begin at earlier ages, and some will be for high school athletes only.  Read each sport description to see the ages for which it is available.

In the spring (Mar - Jun), California Athletics will offer a competitive track & field team for home schooled athletes.  For details about the track & field opportunities, click on TRACK & FIELD.

In the fall of 2010 (next school year), California Athletics will organize a volleyball team for girls ages 12 and older in several areas of southern California including San Marcos (north San Diego County), Orange County.  We will practice once a week and play a game once a week play outdoors using standard volleyball rules.  We will play other home schooled teams, competing primarily on Fridays, some private school teams (if games are available), and play in a home school tournament in Anaheim in late October.  We may also host a volleyball tournament for a Saturday in early October in San Diego County on the beach!  Click on VOLLEYBALL to the left to learn more.

In the fall of 2010, California Athletics will be continuing the high school age tackle football league  in southern California for all high school age players.  Players can come from any school background including home schooled, charter school, private, or public school.  Details will be posted on the TACKLE FOOTBALL page as it is developed.  Teams will be developed in San Marcos and several other sites including Riverside, Orange County, LA County, and South San Diego.

In the winter, Dec 2010 - Feb 2011, California Athletics will offer competitive basketball teams in North San Diego County.  We will have teams in the San Marcos/Escondido area for students ages 11 through high school.  We will find appropriate leagues to play in for these teams, based on enrollment numbers and locations.  For more details about the basketball opportunities, click on the link to the left labeled BASKETBALL. 

In the winter, Dec 2009 - Feb 2010, California Athletics will also be organizing a 6 man soccer league in Southern California for middle school and high school age students.  For details on the 6 man soccer (available to girls and boys), click on SOCCER on the left side.
