About Us

California Athletics provides classes for home schooled students in all areas of Southern California in Woodworking, Aviation Science, Aviation Careers, Marksmanship, Fundamentals of Sports (PE), and competitive sports team opportunities.  Classes are open to student's grades K-12.  Founder and teacher Todd Nash teaches all classes.  California Athletics is a vendor with almost all charter schools; they issue POs to pay for classes, sports, and water sports!  Look on your charter school vendor list under Todd Nash or California Athletics.  You can also pay directly for classes by cash or check.  Click on CLASSES & SCHEDULE  at the top to see the schedule of Sports, Woodworking, Marksmanship, and Aviation classes as well as Volleyball TEAM practices for the year.  Click on SIGN UP to register for a class.  Make sure you click on "MORE" on the top right to see all the pages.

The fall 2023 lineup of classes will start the week of September 4 at most learning center sites, and the week of September 11 at most independent sites.

Todd will teach Woodworking/Furniture Building in many sites including independent sites and group class sites (PC Prep, EEE).  Click on the page titled "Woodworking" to learn more about this exciting class and see pictures of the amazing projects built by students in the classes!

See the Aviation page to learn about the Aviation Science (fall) class and the Aviation Careers (spring) class and see where you can take it.  Students will learn about aerodynamics, engines, flight rules, airspace structure, and much more in the fall Aviation Science class.  The fall's exciting field trips include a rocket shoot, a museum tour, and flying radio control airplanes.  In the spring class students learn about the many varied careers in aviation including the many piloting careers, aviation mechanics, aerospace engineers, air traffic control, airfield operations, and much more.  Field trips include an airport tour, an aviation mechanic tour, and flying a small plane with an instructor!

Todd has added an Olympic Marksmanship class in many sites, teaching pistol and rifle marksmanship using airsoft pistols and rifles.  The class will be very SAFE for your students, and they will learn all the essentials in competitive, Olympic style marksmanship.

There will also be PE classes in many sites, both at learning centers and independent sites.

Todd also offers Water Sports - water-skiing and wake-boarding instruction for ages 5-95!     Click on the WATER SPORTS link above to learn more about this great opportunity.

Todd will also offer competitive Volleyball Teams in Escondido and in South Orange County starting in early September.  The teams will play games in the SoCal Homeschool League and in a tournament in November.  Click on SPORTS TEAMS to learn more.

Todd also offers private coaching in track & field and some other sports, private weight training coaching, and personal training for student athletes and adults alike.  Todd can help adults with weight loss and fitness goals addressing both the critical nutritional element and the physical training.  It is surprisingly simple to drop that 20 or 40 pounds and get in the best shape of your life if you have the right formula!  Click on the link above to learn more and contact Todd.  For personal fitness training or small group fitness training or private coaching, contact Todd directly to discuss the details and set up times.  Email Todd at CalAthletics@sbcglobal.net.
